This project consists of two different types of ornaments: madder root hearts and marigold stars. They were created in collaboration with my bosses, Maggie and Colleen Clines during my internship at Anchal Project. These prototypes were made-to-order as Christmas ornaments, to later be produced by Anchal artisans in Louisville, KY.
The ornaments were made using natural dyes on linen, and then stitched/ embroidered by hand. The embroidery techniques include: star stitch, french knot and running stitch.
