Chaahat Thakker is a young multidisciplinary creative and a recent graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Armed with a diverse visual arts background, Thakker explores fashion as equal parts wearable art and functional design. She enjoys looking at a wide range of art, from the whimsical works of Sabine Timm to the bright and bold compositions of Frank Stella, but also seeks out unconventional sources of inspiration, such as her collection of discarded scraps and miniature objects.
Thakker is currently working as an assistant pattern maker and product developer at a loungewear studio in New York City. At the same time, she is busy preparing her own independent collection for the AW 2019 New York and London Fashion Week!
